Choose any ‘thing’–such as a pencil–and THINK-IT through the 6 steps.

  1. What is it? A pencil.
  2. What does it do? Writes on paper.
  3. Zoom in on 3 parts. Lead, timber casing, rubber tip.
  4. Explore them more. Lead writes well but gets blunt; timber protects the lead but isn’t always comfortable; rubber erases but is too small.
  5. State your verdict. Pencils are a great writing tool, but could be improved.
  6. Amend & extend. Add a comfy grip, sketch with it, or use it to secure your hair into a bun!
